We want to INSPIRE you!  We are offering  a wide variety of exciting classes this quarter.  Save the date(s)!  We are offering beginning quilting classes, bag classes, a straight line quilting class and a workshop teaching Laura Heine's amazing fusible art patterns, to name a few.  You are going to love our selection!!!  Now is the time to start your Halloween and Christmas projects.  We have Holiday fabrics arriving daily!

STITCH CLASSES & EVENTS
                                We hope you will join us for a class this summer!
Register in person, by mail or telephone.  Project list will be supplied upon payment.  All class fees are non-refundable unless we receive 10 days’ notice.  As a courtesy, a transfer to another same-teacher class will be extended for one year.  We reserve the right to cancel a class and refund your fee if the class is not filled.  Please do not bring children to class.

Christmas in July 

Jacque and Sally couldn't resist the new Christmas fabric lines and want to share them with all of us!  Who doesn't love Christmas fabric?  For the month of July all Christmas fabric will be 20% off!

Block of the Month
2nd Tuesday of the month - 1:00pm

• Urbanologie by Sew Kind of Wonderful, it the perfect BOM for Stitch.  It has the modern look with a tradition feel.  We are using two different fabric lines, Handmaker by Natalie Barnes and Desert Bloom by Sheri & Chelsi.  There are many different layouts so your quilt could look different than mine.  Some people don’t want to add the antlers, so just repeat one of the other blocks.

 

Woolie Block of the Month
2nd Tuesday of the month - 1:00pm

• We are excited to begin our next wool Block of the Month "Bring Home the Tree" by Buttermilk Basin.  This will be a six month BOM.  Let us know if you intend to join us for this project.  The cost is $30 per month, pattern and finishing kit extra.

Open Wide Bag
Wednesday July 12th
10:00am - 3:00pm
Let’s get organized! A quick and fun bag to make for yourself or to give as a gift.  These handy zippered bags open wide with easy access for all your items.  Come have a fun day making yourself a cute bag.

XMAS Sew Along - Come Sew With Us!!!
July 21st, August 19th, September 8th
10:00am - 4:00pm
Merrily is the perfect festive collection for creating a cozy winter quilt.  Reindeer and Moose and Penguins!  They're ready for winter with festive scarves, caps and greenery.  Use the panels to add a touch of whimsy to a design, or focus on the clean, contemporary line drawing prints to create a stunning project.  While the colors are traditional,  Merrily is a modern holiday collection.

Raven Block of the Month
July 22nd  (following months TBA)
10:30am - 4:00pm
Jo Ann Gath will be offering a hand applique Block of the Month. The Raven is a gorgeous Blackbird Design. It is inspired by Edgar Allen Poe’s poem “The Raven”.  This nine-block quilt is perfect to welcome Autumn. Each block’s name is taken from a bit of the Poe’s poetry. Jo Ann’s piece is hanging in the shop and is a glorious piece of art.  Come join Jo Ann in this BOM.

Kidz Sew Kamp 2
Session 1:  July 24-28
Session 2:  August 14-18
8:00am - 12:00pm, 1:00pm - 4:00pm
Last summer's kids sewing classes was such a success we are back with Kidz Sew Kamp 2!!!  Classes will be offered to kids 9 and older.  The week long Kamp theme will be “Slumber Party”.   Projects will include a pillowcase, small tote and pajama bottoms.  Returning students can make fun new projects or the same projects as last year!   Sign up now, Kamp will be limited to 5 students.  Hurry!!!!

One Block Wonder

August 11th &  25th

Learn how to create a one of a kind kaleidoscope quilt from one fabric.  With just one fabric and block you can make your own beautiful “One Block Wonder”!  Joan King has created many stunning One Block Wonder quilts and she will be teaching a 2 day class at Stitch.  Be sure to sign up, this class will fill up quickly.  We are thrilled to have Joan as an instructor.

Gone Fishing!  By Laura Heine
Tuesday August 1st

Jacque and I love these patterns, at market we find ourselves drawn to Laura’s booth.  It will be a fun class whether you want to make placemats, a table runner or a quilt.  You will design your fish in class and we will go over the straight quilting that Laura uses on her quilts.

Katie Pasquini Class - Artful Log Cabins
August 4th & 5th
10:00am - 4:00pm
 

The log cabin block is very versatile; we will use that as a basis for creating linear abstract art quilts. I took this class last time Katie taught and it was the best class I have taken!!!!  Yes, you too can make an art quilt!!!   It was so much fun!

Pincushion by Laura Heine

August 12th & 13th

Here's another Laura Heine pattern that we will have so much fun creating!  This is a two day workshop.  You will design your pincushion in class and we will discuss the straight quilting that Laura uses on her quilts.  Finished size is approximately 41" x 45"

Straight Line Quilting with Walking Foot

Saturday August 26th

Come learn how to do the popular straight line quilting using your own machine.  Kathi will show you how to quilt your bags, table runner or small wall hangings.  You will bring one of your own small projects to figure outs how to quilt.  This class will help you finish your UFO’s.

Pumpkin

Inspired by Ruth McDowell, this pumpkin is pieced with many fabrics. Jan feels the more fabrics, the better the pumpkin will look!  Come learn this wonderful method while making a small wall hanging.

CHARMING TABLE TOPPER

Do you ever wonder what to do with all those little charm packs you've collected?  Well we have the cutest table topper that is fun and easy and uses 2 charm packs!  We also have new Christmas charms - who can resist a new holiday table topper???

4 Patch Stacked Posies
Saturday September 9th
10:00am - 4:00pm

Make the beautiful quilt using one print fabric for the blocks and the border!  This quilt is similar to the One Block Wonder quilt using the same cutting and design techniques, creating the one of a kind block, repeated throughout the quilt top.

Square Play
Wednesday September 13
10:00am - 4:00pm

This architectural quilt has its basis in the chain link block from the 1930's.  The soft teals and pewters pop out from the dramatic black background.  By changing the background to a light and the tiles to medium or dark you would have a completely different looking quilt.  By adjusting the number of 10 1/2" blocks, this quilt could be made as a tablecloth, wall hanging or whatever you wish!

Feathered Star

September 15th & 22nd

10:00am - 4:00pm

Tami will teach this beautiful quilt by showing you how to break down a feathered star pattern into easier components to achieve success.  Tami tells us it really isn't that hard to make.  We are so happy to have Tami teaching this beautiful quilt.  Finished size is approximately 48" x 48".

Beginning Quilting

September 19th & 26th and October 3rd

10:00am - 3:30pm

Jacque will teach the basics from start to finish.  You will be making one of her own table topper patterns.  The first week we will be going over fabric selection, cutting and construction.  The second week Jacque will explain the batting, backing and simple quilting.  The last week is finishing,  binding and labels.

Project Bag
Thursday September 21st

This is a great bag for organizing everything for each of your projects.  These handy totes have a sturdy quilted bag and fun fabric details.  A zippered closure keeps everything safe and secure with a see thru vinyl window which allows you to see what is in your bag.  Kits are available.  These are quick and easy.
